Max Richardson, a freelance musician based in Liverpool, reached out to me for help creating a more professional identity. With his diverse range of musical styles, he wanted something that would tie everything together and appeal to his audience. The goal was to create a brand that felt polished and authentic, helping him stand out in the industry.
My aim was to create a logo that really reflected Max’s wide range of talents, from his classical piano background to his electroacoustic work. I wanted the design to capture both the traditional and modern sides of his music, giving a visual feel of his versatility and the unique blend of styles he brings to his sounds.
The final logo effectively captured the two sides of Max’s music. The 'M' was split, with one side featuring a classic serif to represent his classical roots, and the other an abstract triangle symbolising his contemporary electroacoustic work. A range of logo variations were created to reflect Max’s versatility, alongside custom album cover artwork to complete his brand.
